About Me

I am a data scientist who loves uncovering the stories hidden inside data. My approach is simple: gather data, uncover insight, make decisions. I believe the best analysis does more than produce numbers: it creates clarity and confidence.

Throughout my career, I have used statistics, machine learning, analytics, and automations to solve real-world problems across education, finance, agriculture, technology, and other industries. The best solutions start with asking the best questions and constant learning. I build tools that help others understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what they should do next.

I created Get After The Fact because good decisions start with understanding reality. Data can be messy, confusing, and overwhelming, but hidden inside it are stories waiting to be discovered. This site is where I explore those stories across data science, investing, sports, technology, and the questions that make us curious.

Outside of Data

When I am not working with data, you can usually find me running, playing music, following sports, or exploring a new topic that catches my interest. I am a passionate follower of BYU and Kentucky athletics, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Washington Commanders. I enjoy finding the stories hidden in sports statistics just as much as I enjoy finding insights in business data.

I spent two years living in California as a missionary, an experience that strengthened my ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds, adapt to unfamiliar environments, appreciate different perspectives, ask good questions, and teach simply!

I believe curiosity is one of the most valuable skills a person can have. Whether it is a new dataset, a new industry, a sports statistic, or a difficult question, I enjoy digging deeper and finding the story beneath the surface.
